Lectures – lectures are presented by academic staff to a large group of students who listen and take note, gaining an overview of subject areas and direction for further discussion Tutorials – these are designed to help students get better understanding regarding quantitative subjects taught during the lectures. In this, they are guided by academic staff or senior students Practical – some teaching sessions may take place in computer or science laboratories. This will enable students to apply concepts learned Company visits – these sessions take students off campus to learn about a topic by visiting business organizations. Assessment may include a range of methods, such as formal end-of-semester examinations, mid-semester examinations, and continuous assessment throughout the semester, written assignments/essays, group assignments, presentation, tests, laboratory-based assignments, papers, oral exam and seminars. |
